Shaving Double Coated and Short Hair Dogs

Our groomers are extremely careful when trimming double-coated and short-haired dogs (Labradors, Goldens, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Shepherds, Corgis, Weimaraners, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Chihuahuas, Pit Bulls, and others).

Your groomer reserves the right to refuse shaving or trimming double-coated or short-haired dogs closer than 1” due to potential health risks. Shaving can cause permanent coat damage and dogs may lose their ability to regulate their body temperature and become vulnerable to sunburn. Your groomer will communicate the best approach for your pup’s coat.
