Heat, Pregnancy, and Nursing

We love puppies as much as anyone, but we also take the health of their moms very seriously. Strict rules apply to in-heat, pregnant, and nursing dogs.

We do not groom female dogs in heat for sanitary reasons. If the groomer discovers your girl is in heat at the time of appointment, they reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service. Please wait to schedule a groom until your dog has completely gone out of heat.

We do not groom pregnant dogs at any stage of pregnancy to prevent stress and ensure the health of the mom-to-be. Once the puppies are born, there is a waiting period for grooming the dam until all puppies are fully weaned (after 7-10 weeks).
